# Dose-response of a fibrolytic enzyme in dairy cows fed a sorghum silage-based diet: effects on productive performance, ruminal fermentation, and in vitro gas kinetics.

## 摘要
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different doses of an exogenous fibrolytic enzyme (EFE) product, containing xylanase with secondary cellulase activity, derived from Trichoderma citrinoviride, on productive performance and ruminal fermentation in vivo, and on gas production kinetics and nutrient digestibility in vitro. Sixteen multiparous, mid-lactation dairy cows fed a TMR based on sorghum silage were used in the in vivo experiment following a 4 × 4 Latin square design. Cows were randomly assigned to 4 treatment sequences based on the total daily EFE dose top-dressed onto the TMR (g of product/cow/d): 0 (T0, control), 5 (T5), 10 (T10), and 15 (T15). Milk yield showed a quadratic response, peaking at T10. Ammonia (N-NH 3 ) concentration in rumen fluid decreased following a quadratic pattern with increasing dose, and VFA concentration showed a cubic response. Gas production (mL gas/g of DM and OM incubated) increased linearly with dose, as well as the maximum gas production parameter. Gas production rate and lag time were not affected by treatment. Organic matter, DM and NDF digestibility at 48 and 96 h increased following a linear and cubic pattern with EFE doses. Further research is warranted to elucidate the mechanisms of action of EFE in dairy cows fed sorghum silage-based diets.
